Clay’s powerful absorbent properties draw out acids, toxins, and impurities that accumulate in the feet. At the same time, it stimulates reflex points, enhancing the function of the lymphatic and circulatory systems, which further supports the natural elimination of toxins. This is a truly natural way to cleanse the body.
As a reflexologist, I’ve always been in love with feet. When I completed my professional qualification as a Reflexologist, I was 100% sure it would be my only profession. :) But then I discovered lymphatic drainage and facial care, and quickly realized it would be challenging to balance everything. :) Yet everything connects so wonderfully with clay that more and more reflexologists are applying clay to the feet before and after therapy.
Why? Check it out below.
AMAZING FEET
- Every day we take around 5,000 steps.
- Feet contain 25% of all the bones in our body (even misalignment of just one bone can significantly affect the entire body).
- Each foot consists of 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments.
- Our feet allow us to walk, run, climb, and guide our movements.
- Up to half a cup of sweat is expelled through the feet each day.
- They contain thousands of nerve endings connected to all organs and glands in the body.
- More than 2,000 pores on the feet release waste products.
- Reflex points on the feet correspond to specific organs, organ systems, and parts of the body.
- Feet combine the most important and powerful energy channels in the body (in Western medicine, disease is defined as an energy imbalance).
BODY DETOX
You’ve probably heard of various detox baths and foot patches, right?
Unlike most products on the market, clay is completely natural – a traditional method of body cleansing known and used for centuries around the world. Increasingly, it’s also becoming popular among reflexologists. Thanks to its natural composition, clay has strong absorbent properties that draw out toxins and impurities accumulated in the feet. It stimulates reflex points, enhancing the lymphatic and circulatory systems, which further supports the elimination of harmful substances.
Beyond detoxifying the body, clay also promotes GROUNDING. Humans are very similar to plants – we are “connected” to both the sun and the Earth. When we are not grounded, we can quickly lose touch with reality, disconnect from our roots, or get carried too high, risking burnout.
DETOX FOOT BATH WITH CLAY
The first method of detoxifying the body through the feet with clay is simple: pour about a handful of GlinaSi powdered clay into a basin of warm water and soak your feet for 15–30 minutes. Using this clay foot bath, you can complete a full body detox program by doing it every day for 21 days.
The second method uses a prepared DETOX bath, which combines the power of three ancient and traditional techniques: reflexology, aromatherapy, and body cleansing. For a full-body soak, use 5 teaspoons of DETOX-A and 15 minutes of your time. While soaking, don’t forget to gently massage the exfoliating clay into your skin. For a foot soak, add 1 teaspoon to 2 liters of warm water and soak your feet for 15 minutes.
DETOX SHOWER
With this ritual, you can feel calm and grounded—no bath required! Before showering, sprinkle a teaspoon of DETOX foot bath powder on the floor of your shower. Your feet have thousands of pores and nerve endings, so they will absorb all the beneficial aromatherapeutic properties of the scrub. At the same time, the detox process begins through your feet, and you’ll also enjoy a quick foot massage! Yay!
